Ankle & Calf Spider Veins
Bulging veins at the ankle with spider veins are very common with vein reflux due to the abnormally high vein pressure.
This patient also has a visible sock line which indicates the presence of swelling and tissue edema due to the high pressure in the veins of the calf. The high vein pressure causes all three problems seen here: sock line swelling, bulging varicose vein and spider veins.
If you see any similar signs on your own ankles, it is likely you have a vein condition.
